Item Details

Beautifully Made in Italy. High quality workmanship with attention to detail. WALT was a trade name of the famous Italian watchmaker Cesare Zanardi, who died at 94 on October 11, 2011. He was born in the province of Parma, but moved to Bozen with his family as a child. Here he first owned a tobacco shop, than a jewelry where he discovered a passion for clocks, at the beginning mainly cuckoo clocks, but extending rapidly his love to the whole variety. So he started with maintenance and repair works and ended up with an own factory with 90 employees and 24 salesmen all over the world. His company was selling clocks under the trademark WALT and later wrist watches with the trade name "La Martine." Quality is considered to be excellent.
