This combined estate sale features the musical instrument collection of Wade Norton, a musician and former Chief Engineer at NRG Recording Studios in North Hollywood, California, and one of the people most closely tied to the studio's development, helping rebuild it in the early 1990s. Item Details

Spec: Rare early-production combo version featuring highly desirable vertical input jacks (flying lead wiring). Modified power section fully restored and optimized to stable European-spec EL34 tubes. Upgraded with premium Celestion Greenbacks for a truer, 70’s Marshall tone (original factory Celestion speaker safely kept and included). Also has self-biasing adapters to use Vox standard EL-84 tubes.

Provenance: Acquired directly from a prominent Los Angeles band in the 1980s. I originally auditioned for the band; though, they hired another guitarist, the bass player and I were great friends. This relationship led to me inviting the band into the studio to record their project, ultimately acquiring this amplifier during those tracking sessions.
