Max Turner (1925-2019) was an instructor at the California Art Institute. He studied under Hal Reed who was one of the last students of the renowned Russian-American master artist, Nicolai Fechin. Nicolai Fechin's influence on Max Turner is obvious upon review of just a few of his face sketches. Max Turner published several art books featuring his artwork including Faces: The Drawings Of Max Turner, Faces 2: The Paintings And Drawings Of Max Turner and Terra Cotta Sculpture Of Max Turner.

This sale features a wide variety of Max Turner's insightful artwork including bronze sculptures, canvas paintings, face sketches on paper and a terra cotta sculpture. All of artwork featured in this sale is directly from the Estate of Max Turner. Marvel at the talent of this exceptional California artist who recently left us, but left behind an inspirational body of artistic work for all to enjoy.
