In addition to being an outstanding painter, draftsman, engraver, sculptor, muralist and teacher, Nishizawa also exerted with great tenacity the cultural promotion in Mexico. As a Japanese father and Mexican mother, he was able to surpass his international heritage to create a very particular style: Mexican landscape with Middle Eastern techniques. His work has been constantly recognized in international exhibitions and all his work has been distinguished by his constant cultural contributions, granted by CONACULTA and UNAM. In 1992, the "Luis Nishizawa Museum-Workshop" was inaugurated, a cultural institution in Toluca, State of Mexico dedicated to the shelter of work and a space to instruct young painters.
